Save the Date Wording

Save the Date Cards and Save the Date Magnets are not engagement announcements or an invitation to your wedding. They are sent to tell guests of your wedding date in order for them to make travel plans or to ensure that they don’t have other engagements. The design that you choose for Save the Date Cards & Magnets may be similar in style, but does not necessarily need to match.

Your wording should be based on the formality of your wedding. When your wedding style is formal, a more formal style of wording is appropriate.

This example is a standard for Save the Date wording:

Save the Date!

Whatever wording you choose, be sure to answer these questions:

1) Who is getting married?

Elizabeth and Peter are tying the knot

2) What date should I save?

3) Will you be married somewhere other than your hometown?

New York, New York
